Job Description :
  • This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.
  • The Inventory Operations Section is responsible for the purchase and provisioning of aircraft spares and ground tools and equipment associated with the maintenance, overhaul and operation of aircraft and components.
  • This position plays an important role in interacting and influencing cross functional teams within Engineering and external service providers.  To excel in this role, you are required to be knowledgeable in the fundamentals of airworthiness and legislation and understand how Engineering Department is organised and functions to comply with regulatory requirements. Specific duties and requirements as follows:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage service providers using supplier management techniques focusing on contract compliance, continuous improvement and value delivery
  • Develop and implement processes to track and analyse the cost performance of the service providers and ensure Engineering’s requirements are met
  • Compile budgets and monthly maintenance expenses reports to identify cost drivers and variance for driving the strategies and cost improvement plans to maximize the cost opportunities  
  • Ensure internal and external customers, manufacturers, repairers, MROs to achieve safe, cost and operational effective industry best performance.
  • Ensure aircraft inventory and provisioning complies with regulatory requirements – such as ETOPS and AD requirements, as well as supporting future Engineering technical decisions and directions
  • Participate and assist Procurement in RFI,RFQ and RFP processes
  • Initiate and capitalise on other business opportunities for revenue generation and cost reduction
  • Manage and initiate improvement in quotation and invoice vetting processes
  • Manage and control Ultramain data quality and associated business process improvement
Job Requirements :
  • Degree holder in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Business Studies or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years experience preferably in materials planning/logistics management in commercial aviation discipline
  • Strong financial awareness and business acumen with an ability to identify business opportunities
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Planning and organising skills with demonstrated ability to handle and deliver a number of tasks concurrently     
  • A self-starter, decisive, self-motivated and able to work effectively independently and in a team environment
  • Forward thinking, change oriented
  • Demonstrated leadership potentials with an ability to motivate, coach and develop a team
  • Those with less experience will be considered for the Inventory Controller position.
