Job Description :- This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.
- The Product Department plays a key role in customer retention, long-term success and profitability to Cathay Pacific through the strategic development of award winning products that maintains our leading edge. The Product Manager position is primarily responsible for ensuring excellent passenger experience on ground by overseeing the lounge construction projects and ground product developments worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the airline customer experience on ground (HKG & outports) including bookings, airport transfers, check-in, CIQ fast-track, lounges and boarding
- Act as key person governing and upholding established ground product standards system-wide
- Drive cross-functional teams to implement new product strategies and ensure that existing strategies are consistently implemented
- Manage the external and internal specialists responsible for the design and construction of all new ground infrastructure, to ensure projects are delivered within the approved budget, on schedule and uphold passenger experience
- Lead project teams to liaise and collaborate with relevant government authorities and internal departments to ensure efficiencies in programme delivery and regulatory compliance
- Monitor cost database for all profiles of projects, ensuring best practice cost control mechanisms are in place
- Prepare and monitor contract documentation, cost plan, project programme, tender documents, tender reports, negotiating and recommending award of contracts, payments, expenditures, cash flow, final account etc.
- Prepare business cases (ECC and Lounge Steering Committee) including programme, cost plan, of all new ground projects
- Manage team in product development for minor projects including related passengers/ competitors research and product communications both internally and externally
- Assist Manager Product – Premium Cabins & Ground in analysis, vetting, and implementation of ad hoc studies and projects related to ground products
Job Requirements :- A degree holder preferably in a Marketing or Design-related discipline
- Circa 5 years’ hands-on experience in the design and development process of premium interior spaces, either on customer experience planning or the creative side (this role requires both creative sense and hands-on project management and stakeholder management skills)
- Minimum 4 years in a managerial position.
- Experience in supervising the overall planning, implementing and monitoring of sizable fit-out projects
- Experience in supplier management (including negotiations skills) and customer relationship management.
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
- Diligent and thorough with a high attention to detail
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Proficient with Excel and Powerpoint and familiar with Project
- Previous experience of successfully developing a high-end interior space/lounge product would be advantageous
- Good understanding of the construction market, renovation process and issues would be advantageous
