Description/Tasks
- work within teams / individually in such a manner to ensure proper delivery expectations and quality
- prepare aircraft and aircraft parts for masking, washing, stripping, painting and sanding
- mix and apply paints i.a.w. different paint manufacture technical data sheets
- set up and operate various types of paint spraying equipment
- locate Pounce Patterns for registration numbers and lettering/technical markings and design layouts
- follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task
- maintain a clean and safe working environment
- responsible for cleaning equipment and report damage equipment
- use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner (e.g. man lift, cherry picker, scaffolding)
- perform other duties as assigned and required by superior and coordinate with superior
- comply with Paint Shop standards and practices and respect company policy
- follow safety procedures when using paint strippers, chemicals and use protective equipment as required
- Use material requisition system, track squawks and sign off completed work
Qualification/Experience
- High School Diploma
- Must have general knowledge of paint preparation, paint mixing and paint application processes
- Must have general knowledge of painting related tools such as sanders, electrostatic paint guns, pressure washing machines
- Experience in paint colours mixing are an advantage
- Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
- Computer basic skills in MS Office
