Job Description Reporting to the General Manager - Powerplant, the Powerplant Engineer will be responsible for carrying out Engineering requirements relating to the Jet2.com aircraft engines, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and Nacelle. You will review airworthiness data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and liaise heavily with Maintenance Control and Reliability.
The Powerplant Engineer will provide advice and guidance related to trouble shooting and exploring defects, as well as analysing engine data to provide reports and any associated documentation required by the General Manager - Powerplant. Your role will also involve producing maintenance programmes for individual engines and analysis of relevant engine data produced by the Reliability and Technical Projects Teams.
To be successful in this role you will have considerable experience as a Powerplant Engineer for either an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or commercial airline. Working knowledge of RB211 and CFM56 powerplants is necessary as is working knowledge of Boeing 737 and 757 aircraft. You will have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally and you must have a flexible approach to working hours and travel. Excellent IT skills and experience using engineering maintenance software packages are required.
