Your role
- The PI Manager is responsible to ensure Safe System of Work and best practice HSE during the Testing and Commissioning (T&C) phase, to assure our processes, products and services meet internal and external requirements from proposal preparation through design, manufacturing, installation, warranty, and product service life.
Your Key Accountabilities - Ensure robust requirements management process is in place and being followed in Engineering. Monitor by KPIs. Create the T&C plan (strategic document outlining how the T&C phase will be completed). Design and mobilise the T&C organisation required to deliver the T&C phase. Manage external stakeholders (Customer, ISA, Sub-contractors, Suppliers) to ensure necessary support is available when required during the T&C.
- Prepare the Doc#25 (Detailed Test plan) and ensure each test is linked back to the requirements management process. Prepare the Doc#26 (Detailed Test schedule) in conjunction with the Project Planner, the on-site PM and the Site Manager. Work with Engineering to ensure detailed test specifications are in place to capture and validate all requirements. Work with Engineering to ensure detailed, practical and safe test procedures are in place. Manage the Project Quality group to achieve budgetary project goals. Control expenditures. Evaluate, choose, implement and maintain advanced computer-aided tools to improve productivity and analysis capability.
- Obtain the necessary approvals from the Client organisations for the respective T&C documentation. Ensure robust configuration management process is in place and being followed at all times. Lead the execution of the T&C programme in accordance with the project schedule. Design, implement and manage the T&C governance process (meeting schedules, reporting formats, reporting frequencies). Manage the capture of test results and oversee the production of test reports.
- Lead fault finding exercises when required. Lead the FRACAS process on-site. Prepare the site for handover to the Operator. Close out all technical issues raised during the T&C phase.
Qualifications
- BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10 years relevant PI and engineering experience.
- Understand the BT project management processes and tools.
- Gate review process, Project review process.
- Able to facilitate an FMEA (systems, Design, Process).
- Strong Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology, Involvement experience in a project.
- Experience in PI function.
- Customer communication and management.
- Good knowledge of the IRIS, ISO, and CMMi standards.
