PurposeThe purpose of this role is to control the Air Arabia Technical Stores at Sharjah International airport so as to ensure all company aircraft technical spares are accepted, stored and controlled in accordance with company procedures and airworthiness authority regulations.
Main Responsibilities- Carry out the inwards inspection of aircraft parts arriving into the company so as to ensure all satisfy company and airworthiness authority standards and regulations.
- Allocate and maintain binning locations in the company stores and ensuring the ICARUS Inventory Control system updates are maintained to this effect.
- Maintain the batch control file systems for all parts received by the company in accordance with the allocated ICARUS batch number, so that full traceability of all parts can be maintained.
- In accordance with company procedures, set-up and control shelf lives applicable to aircraft parts on the ICARUS system.
- Maintains shift activity and hand-over log book as related to aircraft material requirements and critical stores movements.
- Control all issues and receipts of materials within the technical stores and ensure the ICARUS system transactions are maintained, thus reflecting an accurate stock situation at all times.
- Carry out stock checks as directed by the Planning & Production engineer and Stores Inspector.
- Advises the Stores Inspector of any unserviceable parts received in stores (daily) as removed from Air Arabia aircraft.
- In conjunction with the Stores Inspector, ensure all parts being sent to repair agents are blanked, and packed properly, and to ensure the correct documentation is attached to parts prior to dispatch for repair.
- Assist with logistics arrangements for parts delivery to and from the Air Arabia MRO, outstations and aircraft.
- Controls the issues of tooling and equipment to engineers.
- Controls the stores quarantine areas and liaises with the Technical Buyer and Planning & Production Engineer with regards to clearing the discrepancy with minimum delay.
- Carries out daily environmental checks in storage areas to ensure correct storage conditions are maintained.
- Ensures specific storage requirements are satisfied and keeps necessary records.
- Ensure parts that are sent to stations or on repair satisfy the Dangerous Good Regulation requirements.
- Identifies and controls any required packing materials and maintains ATA 300 standards for aircraft parts going on repair.
- Keeps the stores areas clean and tidy at all times.
- Assists with the loading and unloading of aircraft spares from company transport.
- Ensures Health and Safety regulations are maintained and adhered to in all areas of technical stores.
- AOG desk operation
Desired Profile- 2 or more years working in a similar capacity within the aviation industry
- Possesses appropriate knowledge of the UAE GCAA airworthiness regulations pertaining to the acceptance, storage and issue of aircraft technical spares and associated equipment used for aircraft maintenance
- Knowledge and completion of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations training
- Should possess excellent communication abilities both spoken & written
- UAE Driving license required
- The ability to work a Rotating Shift pattern
