Purpose
The purpose of this role is to manage a route cluster and optimise revenue by effectively managing yield/seat factor balance, thus contributing to maintaining the profitability of routes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assists the Manager Pricing by producing longer-term plans based upon detailed analysis of routes that provide information upon which contributions to the making of strategy for the Company can be based.
  • Identifies the break-even revenue of the responsible routes based upon the most up-to-date and best sourced information.
  • Calculates the seat factor combination which best ensures the profitability of responsible routes.
  • Calculates the most competitive fares available in the market, whilst ensuring medium/longer-term profitability.
  • Collates competitor fares and products, establishes and maintains an easily referenced database
  • Arranges for feedback from Sales staff regarding competitor fares, products and services through establishing, developing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Contribute to the planning of buckets and bucket values of responsible routes well in advance so as to reflect peaks and troughs in demand.
  • Produces other ad-hoc reports as that are required by the senior management team for particular projects.
Desired Profile
  • Essential – Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, accountancy or similar.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in revenue management / Pricing department of an airline is essential.
  • Computer skills are essential
  • Must be thoroughly competent in Microsoft Excel.
