Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure defects are rectified on time and as per procedures and G9 quality standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Reports to Manager MCC & Outstation and is responsible for the control of ABY aircraft defects, whether the aircraft is airborne or on ground.
  • Review debriefs generated by aircraft systems such as ACARS for preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate with Aircraft Maintenance Schedule (AMS), Base Maintenance and Line Stations to align aircraft for defect rectification.
  • Support out station engineers on guidance for troubleshooting defects.
  • Prepare daily critical and delay reports and produce it to management and dispatch reliability/review.
  • Ground, if necessary, an aircraft in case of a potential AOG situation arises at Line Stations.
  • Divert the aircraft as a last option, in case of a potential AOG situation arises in flight.
  • Coordinate with other sections for granting MDD extension.
  • Issue Design Deviation Order (DDO) after consulting Manager Engineering.
  • Keep all aircraft publications up to date.
  • Take the responsibility of MCC Supervisor in his absence.
Desired Profile
  • A degree holder with ICAO type AME license, holding company approvals on A320.
  • Minimum of 15 years Aircraft Maintenance Experience preferably MCC and line experience. At least 5 years as MCC Controller.
  • Be able to make quick decisions on technical related items.
  • Promotes good communications and interface with all section to insure that all concerned practice a coordinated approach.
  • Should have basic computer skills.
