The Job:The innovation centre is a newly established team within Cathay Pacific's IT division. The team will focus on researching, introducing and delivering new technologies into Cathay Pacific's business and IT environment, with initial focus on web and mobile solutions.
Team will focus on two major areas 1) Designing, building and delivering B2C, B2E and B2B web applications 2) Prototyping web applications
As Web Security Specialist you will work with a very energetic team to infuse new ideas and ensure the end-to-end security excellence of complex mobile application designs. You will identify and implement security solutions, evangelize secure development and QA best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- In house security expert to inspect code, designs and architectures for vulnerabilities and propose solutions to address them.
- Evangelize best security and privacy practices throughout CPA’s developer community
- Perform security and privacy penetration tests and audits
- Develop tools and integrate third party automated solutions for tracking and finding security issues at code build and run times
- Assist in designing and developing back-end infrastructure components and pertaining web services that meet our security goals.
- Assist for creating appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts
Job Requirements :- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of web software security and privacy expertise either as a consultant or in-house specialist
- Mastery of security technologies such as SAML, PKI, SSL, authentication systems, ciphers, crypto modules and protocols.
- Minimum 2 years developing customer-facing applications using Java, J2EE, HTML(5) and Javascript
- Minimum 2 years working in UNIX / Linux environment.
- Minimum 2 years experience with IBM Websphere
- Knowledge in secure coding standards such as OWASP
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years relational database programming (preferably Oracle).
- Minimum 2 years of Perl or other scripting language.
- Familiar with security testing tools such as WebInspect or AppScan
- Familiar with IBM DataPower
- Deep understanding of internet and networking protocols.
