This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.
To assist Manager Port Accounting and Development to monitor the operations of Financial Services Department (FIN) in the outports and working with Financial Services Managers (“FSMs”) on all accounting and internal controls issues, financial risk assessment and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- To lead a team of staff to carry out on-site visits to outport FIN offices to review accounting processes, internal controls, risk assessment and make recommandations to improve productivity and efficiency or to support local opérations.
- To assist in reviewing/formulating policies (i.e. Outport Accounting and Internal Control Manual Policy “OAICM” and Credit Control Policies and Guidelines “CCPG”) and accounting related procedures for FIN in outports with incorporation of local practices and new local development after assessing the potential financial risk exposure.
- To ensure adherence to company policies; OAICM and CCPG, and local jurisdiction by
- Reviewing the accounting schedules submitted by the outport FIN offices within prescribed time frame or statutory deadlines and obtaining variance explanation on a monthly basis.
- Developing appropriate statistical reports and data analysis.
- Maintaining accurate and proper records of authorisation limits in the financial systems.
- To monitor the monthly closing, budgeting and forecasting of port portfolio assigned
- To build and maintain port portfolio files for documentation of port peculiar items for better control monitoring and exploring optimal standardization of processes
- To ensure proper management and maintenance of database of bank accounts, facilities, and retirement schemes in outports.
- To arrange proper financial systems training to outport team members
Job Requirements :- Degree holder with professional designation in Accountancy
- 5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years of supervisory role. Experience in providing advice and guidance to Finance Team in various countries is advantageous
- Good written and verbal communication skills for a variety of situations and audiences
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently under pressure and willing to travel
