Job Description :
This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage CSR CCD team, with a focus on meeting all goals and objectives and fostering professional development among team members
- Formulate, oversee and execute CSR strategy of CX and KA to enhance both company’s image as socially responsible corporate citizens and other brand enhancement initiatives
- Initiate and roll out appropriate head office driven community programmes and projects in line with CX and KA’s CSR key focus areas
- Coordinate Cathay Pacific Charitable Fund (CCF) efforts in line with CCF steering committee direction to provide financial support and encourage CX Group company staff participation in charity functions systemwide
- Cooperate with Swire Group, oneworld or other third parties on CSR or sustainable development initiatives
- Work closely with Overseas Team for outports initiated CSR projects to bring best synergy in systemwide CSR efforts
- Establish objective measurements to CX and KA CSR efforts and contribution for staff recognition, clear company positioning and communication
- Promote and encourage Management and staff involvement in CSR initiatives
- Strive to preserve CX and KA’s distinct identities as appropriate
- Oversee the team’s operation. Drive their effort effectively along the company’s direction in CSR efforts to ensure the maximum PR mileages
- Review and look after all sponsorship requests channeled to CCD (including those from government departments and bodies; business organizations and associations; NGOs and charity organizations) to ensure they are all properly responded and handled by balancing and maximizing the benefits to CX and KA
- Take on projects assigned whenever required. Projects can range from different communication aspects including but not limited to: issues management, stakeholder relations, product promotion, internal communication, corporate social responsibility, and international outports. It can also be regularly scheduled events such as annual results announcement and one-off initiatives such as a major IMT system upgrade
- Serve as a contributing member of the department’s E&A team
Job Requirements :- A university degree, preferably in journalism, communications or other relevant community relations-related disciplines
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience and solid track record in journalism, corporate communication, government or community relations
- Fluency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken. Fluency in Putonghua is an advantage
- Strong analytical, writing, and public presentation skills. Highly innovative and organized
- Polished interpersonal skills, and with the ability to work under pressure
- A sound knowledge of current affairs and government, community and related institutional structures
- Strong contacts within the local Hong Kong community a plus
- Flexibility to work on Saturdays and public holidays
