PurposeTo take ownership and management of simple and/or complicated tasks and projects, and to liaise with all stakeholders and be able to plan, execute and finalize projects according to the agreed deadlines and budget. In addition the Project Manager will play an active role in improving IT standards and quality of deliverables using own initiative.
Main Responsibilities- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management, subject experts and stakeholders.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or resources and take the appropriate approvals to secure the required staff and/or resources.
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated project documents:
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentation.
- Effectively communicate projects expectations to team member and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion; on an ongoing basis.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team analyse results and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Keep up-to-date records of projects and tasks, and share status with stakeholders through reporting tools and presentation.
- Play a leading role in the implementation and maintenance of ISO standards as needed by the airline.
- Must have experience of Real Time, mission-critical systems, ensuring the high standards of stability, availability and performance of the IT infrastructure.
Desired Profile• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Extensive experience, including minimum of 4 years in similar role.
• Preferred to have MBA and / or least one professional certificate related to project management.
• Excellent project and tasks management using the relevant up to date tools and methodologies.
• Firm understanding of how to prioritise capacity and resource management.
• Good IT knowledge.
• Experience in dealing with multiple work streams.
• Proven tract record in project management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in Arabic and English.
• Excellent in organization skills, strong leadership and result driven.
• Ability to effectively prioritise and execute task in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
• Excellent team player
• Strong interpersonal and liaison skills. Persuasive, encouraging and motivating.
