The Position:The Project Portfolio Manager is accountable for leading and evolving the IT portfolio planning and governance capability. This includes working with key groups to identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential IT investments and ensuring these investment follow corporate governance processes. Prioritisation will include enterprise wide resource forecasting and dependency and risk management. Additionally the Project Portfolio Manager will review the overall portfolio health and provide portfolio level management reporting.
Key responsibilities:- Manage the IT Project portfolio including a centralized view of ongoing demand requirements management reporting of status throughout the project life cycle
- Work with other key business units to enhance and manage the IT governance model and project prioritization framework
- Define and manage reporting and submission timelines for governance approvals to ensure consistent throughput of demand
- Review business cases to ensure quality, adherence to standards, validity of investment information and relationship to prioritised portfolio list
- Collaborate and coordinate with key IMT and BU managers, business partners and EPMO Planning Manager to ensure proper resource forecast and allocation
- Collaborate and coordinate with key IMT and BU managers, business partners and EPMO Planning Manager to identify portfolio wide dependencies and risks
- Create portfolio performance measurement practices and produce actionable dashboards for decision making (portfolio mix, productivity, demand & capacity, financial management)
- Control IT project backlog by reducing the number of redundant and non-value add projects
- Gather requisite information to create and balance the portfolio, make recommendations based on analysis and report rogress to business partners at all levels
- Support and coordinate IT sourcing and vendor management
Job Requirements :- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience with at least recent 5 years in related position.
- Demonstrable leadership skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
- Highly motivated and have passion to drive the outcome
- Strong Knowledge of all aspects of project delivery
