The Position:
This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.
Infrastructure Architect is responsible for providing leadership and supporting development of enterprise infrastructure architecture and strategy, setting standards for technology and platforms, and developing roadmaps to achieve the vision. The appointee will be tasked to support and govern projects to align to agreed enterprise infrastructure architecture.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive definition of infrastructure architecture and roadmap including:
- Architecture vision, principles, standards (including standard products and platforms) and
policies
- Target state blueprints and roadmap for infrastructure architecture (server, storage, network,
etc) strategy
- Maintain and facilitate the process for infrastructure lifecycle management
- Work closely with Enterprise Architects to align the infrastructure strategy with enterprise architecture (all technology domains)
- Socialize and secure support for infrastructure architecture from key stakeholders
- Lead analysis of current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
- Coordinate and ensure consistency in process and content across infrastructure architecture
- Participate in relevant solution design review activities in order to ensure alignment to infrastructure architecture, infrastructure strategies and architecture principles
- Participate in architecture governance forums
- Support Solution Architects/Infrastructure Engineers in identifying and assessing options
- Review proposed infrastructure designs
- Conduct project technical reviews and health checks
- Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the infrastructure architecture
- Participate and contribute to relevant industry, alliance and technology forums
Job Requirements :
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in infrastructure design strategy, architecture and design with knowledge in most of following areas:
- Platform & Virtualisation (Hardware, Hypervisor, Operating System – Unix, Linux, Windows,
Mainframe, etc.)
- Storage (SAN, NAS, Backup/Restore, Archive)
- Network (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Proxy)
- End User (PC, BYOD, VDI, Application)
- Unified Communications (E-Mail, VoIP, IVRS, PABX, IM, Presence)
- Database (DB Farms, OLTP, OALP, Data Warehousing)
- Application Infrastructure (web server, application server)
- Middleware (Data Transformation, Integration, WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere MQ,
etc.)
- Systems Management (Monitor, Alert, Report, Audit, Asset, Incident)
- Security (Firewall, IPS/IDS, A/V, Encryption, I&AM)
- Facilities (Data Centre, Regional Hubs, Security)
- Cloud computing, security and management (private & public)
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines
- Proven ability to develop enterprise infrastructure (technology) architecture
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Strong communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation'
- Airline knowledge is advantageous
- TOGAF certification is preferred
