Dubai Civil Aviation Authority ( GCAA) revoked Jazeera's hub in Dubai during the second quarter of 2009, as a move in support of Dubai's upcoming launch of its own low-cost airline, FlyDubai.  The move was deemed unprofitable for Jazeera Airways as the Kuwait hub suffered from overcapacity.
