Gulf Air opens new line maintenance facility

Manama - National carrier, Gulf Air, opened a new, comprehensive line maintenance facility in Bahrain. Mr. Mohamed Redha Jahrami, a senior aircraft technician with over 33 year's service in Gulf Air, opened the facility in the presence of Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Mr. Samer Majali and other members of the senior management..

The new facility, which is three times larger than the old one, accommodates all Bahrain line maintenance engineers and mechanics, who are maintaining all Gulf Air aircraft and other third party aircraft transiting Bahrain, and is equipped with a control centre, ramp management offices, operations room, technical library, ramp stores to stock aircraft spares and materials and, a rest area for crew.

The new facility will greatly facilitate Gulf Air to improve its line maintenance productivity contributing to high level aircraft maintenance standards and in turn, a better aircraft performance.
