Freedom Town, Kuwait, Jazeera Airways, today released its January 2012 operational performance report, which revealed according to the airline, continued market shares to destinations it serves and operating at a high on-time performance of 91% during the month.The released report is based on data from Kuwait’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA), revealing Jazeera Airways is the leading operator on the Alexandria, Luxor, Aleppo, Assiut, Sohag, Deir Ezzor and Damascus routes.
Jazeera Airways captured the largest market share on routes operated between Kuwait and five Egyptian cities, with a 36% market share on the Kuwait-Alexandria route, a 45% market share on the Kuwait-Assiut route, a 70% on the Kuwait-Luxor route, and 35% market share on the Kuwait-Sohaj route. Also 23% market share on the Kuwait-Sharm El Sheikh route and maintained a 25% market share on the Kuwait-Cairo route.
Jazeera Airways also captured the largest market share to Syrian destinations served with a 41% market share on the Kuwait-Damascus route, a 72% market share on the Kuwait-Aleppo route, and a 86% market share on the Kuwait-Deir Ezzor route.
The report also showed that the airline was also the leading Kuwaiti airline on routes between Kuwait and Beirut, Amman, Mashhad, Bahrain and Dubai.
Jazeera Airways captured a 32% market share on the Kuwait-Amman route, a 32% market share on the Kuwait-Beirut route, a 10% market share on the Kuwait-Bahrain route, and a 16% market share on the Kuwait-Dubai route.
