Job Description :- This role is available to Hong Kong residents or to those who have the right to work in Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain IT Facilities Management practice for Data Centre and equipment rooms
- Keep accurate, current asset records of Data Centre facility and equipment rooms in Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Prepare and monitor Data Centre operations activities, including equipment movement, data backup and offsite, job scheduling; update processes and procedures
- Identify performance and resources bottlenecks, raise incidents and problems when breaches of performance and capacity thresholds are detected
- Assess impact of all changes, including release packages, on performance, availability and capacity of all services and resources
- Coordinate and participate in following major initiatives and perform periodic verification and maintain the accuracy: Business Capacity Management (BCM), IT Business Continuity Plan (BCP), Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), Component Capacity Management (CCM), Service Capacity Management (SCM) for IT Infrastructure and Application, Crisis Management Plan (CMP)
- Work collaboratively, with Service Management team, to collect capacity requirements from business units
- Perform forecast and prediction of future capacity requirements based on business plans, usage trends, and sizing of new services
- Produce regular reporting on Performance and Availability Management, including resource utilization and service availability against targets defined in SLAs; provide suggestions on improvements
- Communicate IT Service Continuity Management objectives within business areas supported
- Maintain and update Processes and Procedures for Assurance of Continuity in IT Services and Crisis Management
Job Requirements :
- Minimum 6 years relevant working experience in IT
- Tertiary qualifications are desirable
- Sound knowledge and experience in Performance, Availability and Capacity Management, IT Service Continuity Management, IT Facilities Management and Data Centre
- Ability to manage and organize data elements from disparate sources and formats, into consolidated repositories and reporting formats
- Ability to handle and coordinate multiple tasks with multiple IT groups, service suppliers and business users
- Customer service oriented and team player
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with good sense of urgency
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills; ability to generate reporting and management presentations
- Ability to effectively understand business operation and impact
- Experience with SQL, Oracle, Access database, SharePoint, Interwoven a plus
- Practical experience in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes/practice adoption is definitely an advantage
